   Perfect fit, just move over the gasket/keypad, circuit board, batteries. Original housing lasted 5+ years, can't complain too much. If it does break during use at least it should float initially since it is pretty sealed. I like the idea of reinforcing it with epoxy.

   The lanyard mounting bar on my XI3 remote broke. This housing replacement worked great and was fairly easy to reassemble with my electronic internals. I appreciate the availability of this housing. Only gave 4 stars because I was hoping the new lanyard mounting bar would be re-enforced, perhaps made of metal to make it stronger. The plastic bar for the lanyard to attach is definitely a weak point in the design. There is a high risk of this breaking again and the remote going into the water.

   Rather than hang my remote from the lanyard, I decided to clip it on a belt loop. Don’t do this, as I sat on it and broke the attachment point. Ordered a new case from trollingmotorparts.com and it was the exact part, easy fix, and I’m back in business!

   Needed to replace the housing for my XI5 remote. Ordered and received within 5 days. Easy to remove controls and mount in the new box. Hopefully this will last longer than the original

7. Direct Replacement but Still weak

   Item is a direct replacement for the part that failed. I will reinforce the hasp with epoxy.

   The original tether hook broke last year and this year two screws stripped out. Replacement cover fit perfectly and now it looks brand new.

   The fob cover was exact fit, easy to replace and new fastener screws were included.
   As alway the crew at Trolling Motor Parts came through with the correct part and extremely prompt delivery.
