Never did this before so it didt go easy

I bought the longer cord figuring if I needed some extra I could afford to make a mistake, well that was my first mistake. You either need 2 longer cords or 2 standard, and if you get the longer ones you have to lengthen the rest of your power cords, because if you put a loop in the line and you break one of the foot pedal clasps (19.95 + shipping cant just buy the clasp) All of this was my fault. The cords appear to be good quality, I bought the standard cables so there are no kinks, They should be arriving Tomorrow. Directions would have been appreciated. Take the screws off the silver bracket on the head and loosen the screw on the bottom of the foot control before trying to attach the cables. Goes a lot smoother that way. Other than that Once you figure it out it works great

Perfect upgrade for Gheenoe

I installed the foot operated trolling motor on the Gheenoe casting platform. The long steering cables permitted using the foot switch at the center seat. Very good control in windy conditions on a large lake.

Have a Motorguide X3 that had the 55” cables. Changed my boat over to stick steering and needed longer cables so the foot control would set in the floor. Was an easy install, just had to lengthen the wires and sheath. Works like a charm.
