   I was struggling with the trolling motor for a few months. I figured the switch was bad. I was relieved to find out the rubber boot was the issue as it was cheap and easy to replace. Works like it was intended now.

   First, it's hard to believe that this little rubber boot will make or break your fishing day. Granted, my TM is 15 years old, but having this little boot come apart on the water can bring an unexpected end to your day.
   
   Diagnosing the problem is fairly easy when part of the boot in torn off and lying on the deck, so a Google search after I got home helped me to diagnose the problem right away.
   
   I actually ordered this part from a local retailer that showed they had 3 in stock. Wrong. They sent me an email after I ordered, telling me it was back ordered. So the next stop was TrollingMotoParts.com. Not only did they have the part, they put it in the mail the next day and I had it by the end of the week. A 10 minute repair, and I'm back in business! The part is the exact fit, but the real kudos goes to TrollingMotorParts.com for their exemplary service and getting me back on the water. Great job!
