Better than factory

The replacement shaft is a thicker wall shaft than factory and works great.
The hardest part of the whole replacement process is removing the factory thread lock in the motor housing threads, get a 1" pipe bottom tap to run the threads. -

Item came promptly , which as any fisherman knows that’s the most important thing. It was the correct item which means I could understand what I was ordering . Also very important. It was undamaged . Although the packaging had partially failed and the threads were poked out of the box but they were fine . Something to consider in future packaging . Thanks for getting it to me

Wall thickness of new shaft is at least double the thickness of the original shaft. Should be much stronger and less likely to break. Installed per helpful trollingmotor video.

If you like to fix things yourself, TrollingMotorParts has what you need to do the job. Shipping was fast , 4 days, a 2 hour repair and I was back on the water. 50 $ part saved a 700 $ motor. Accidents happen, so can repairs now that I know where to get parts.

This shaft , to me seems like its a little thicker than the one that motorguide put on from the factory. Went on like butter, and back on the water. Took 45 minutes to change. Excellent quality, and fast delivery.
