If you have tested everything and come to the conclusion that you need this steering box you will not be disappointed. This literally took 30 minutes to change out on my boat. You won’t realize how loud the old one is until you put the new one on. Do your self a favor and tie a small piece of string to the lift assist to help with putting it back through the new box.
The only thing that could make this fix better if they would include the heat shrink to put back on the connectors. I was bummed when I had to go to the auto parts store for a 6” piece of heat shrink. All in all I’d say 9.5 out of 10 and only that because of a $.50 piece of heat shrink that I feel should’ve been included to put it back the exact way it come apart.
