   I went out today to try this product and it is amazing!!! I stayed in one area with the spot lock and I should have bought this a long time ago. I followed directions from the video and had no problems installing myself. The shipping was fast, and packed well. I highly recommend this product to upgrade your old trolling motor. 10/10.

3. Worked on my 2000 Minn Kota Powerdrive

   The video in the product description mentions at this only works with powerdrives made in 2001 and after. But this actually worked for my 2000 Powerdrive with the serial number MKAA. Only some minor modifications had to be made to some of the electrical fittings to make them work on the new board.
   
   Awesome product and gave me all the new features on an over 25 year old motor.

   Wow! A true game changer. Wish I would have done this before. I really like using it for salmon fishing. Works for trolling and is better than an anchor. No constant swinging in the wind I can focus on fishing no controlling the boat. LOVE IT

   The best 45 minutes I’ve spent on upgrading a 10 year old Jon boat, by far. It is amazing how nice it is to let the boat drive itself while I’m fishing. Before you go out and buy a new trolling motor to get the Advanced GPS, seriously consider this upgrade. The motor works so much smoother with the remote than it ever did with the foot pedal. I’ll never go back to a foot controlled motor.
   
   Watch the installation video at least a couple of times before you do the installation. I have a Powerdrive V2, so I didn’t have to change the circuit board. It was literally a 4 wires to unplug and plug back in. Plus a dozen screws to remove and then reinstall .
   
   I’ll be adding the networked sonar next to be able to use all the available functions.

   The product works as I hoped. Very easy to use.
   
   The video for my 2020 boat with 55lb Minnkota Powerdrive indicated I needed to remove the control harness at the bottom of the trolling motor and replace it, as well as remove the base of the top of the trolling motor. Those were both wrong. That caused me about 2 hours to figure out the initial wiring. I had to manually look up, using Google, the wiring harnesses for the control to ensure I placed the wires back correctly.
   The video simply needed to specify initially what was needed before having to remove and then put back for the TM's like mine.
   
   But, without the video, I wouldn't have had any idea how to install the upgrade.

   Restoring my 20yr old boat with V1 Powerdrive brain was dead this upgrade brought it back in to life and up to date.
   10 min install works great. Fast shipping no problems.

   I love it! A 10-15 minute install on a V1 powerdrive. Makes fishing much more enjoyable, especially solo. I 100% recommend the conversion as well as trollingmotorparts.com, great service and super fast shipping.
