The tube liner fit as it should. I replaced the lower tube liner as well. Other components that should be considered when replacing this part is the housing gasket and lower bearing, since you’ll have access to these parts.

This took about 1-1/2 hour to do the repair. The collar is an exact match for the oem one. Do yourself a favor and order the O-ring for the steering motor housing, the factory one will likely break if it has any age on it.
The hardest part of this repair is the wrestling match involved with the lift assist, I looped paracord through it to keep it from retracting back inside the box. Use caution it is stronger than you would think when you take the screw loose at the bottom. -

The part fit perfectly and arrived quickly! My trolling motor works again!
Be aware that this is a difficult installation since you have to completely disassemble the trolling motor to remove the old part and install the new one. You really have to be careful with the spring on the lift assist or you'll be ordering a new lift assist. -
